The filming of Wonder Woman 1984 will leave 20 million euros on benefits on Fuerteventura

It will be more than 20 million euros in benefits for Fuerteventura because of the filming of Wonder Woman 1984, as the Fuerteventura Film Commission advances.

The second part of Diana Prince’s story have planned moving to Fuerteventura on July, where the filming will move more than 2000 extras, most of them women with athletic build, probably necessary to play the amazons of Themyscira. However, there is not constancy yet of the permission entry in the municipal corporations of Pájara and La Oliva.

This money will be destined to the extras hiring, logistics, catering and all the tasks before the filming, that will stay on Fuerteventura for a month and a half.

The numbers will benefit not only Fuerteventura, but all Canary Island; because the film will show the islands like the perfect filming set to film every type of movies. Also, it shows the increase of the benefits compared to other movies, like Exodus of Ridley Scott, that in November and December 2013 left total benefits of 7 million euros and the hiring of 400 extras.

As already happened with Solo, a Star Wars Story, the filming will move to the desert landscape of Natural Park of Jandia, even though from the Technological Park of Puerto del Rosario have begun the preliminary tasks.
