Next week, in London, begins the shooting of Wonder Woman 2, that soon will move to Tenerife and Fuerteventura for shooting some scenes.
The Fuerteventura Film Commission said a few weeks ago that the island will be one of the selected places to embrace the team leaded by Patty Jenkins, who repites like director at this sequel, and Gal Gadot, actress who plays the superheroine.
In some Internet forums, people says that the castings on Fuerteventura has already begun, for choosing the extras that will be needed on the shooting. So, it has already announced the searching for “males with egiptian aspect, between 20 and 60 years old”, and “athletic women between 18 and 65 years old”. This makes sense, because the film have the amazons of Themyscira, females warriors of the leading character birth place. Like the warriors that had been asking on the casting.
Still we don’t know nothing about the exactly locations for the shooting, because we either know the definitive plot. However, we know that will take place on the Cold War, on the 80’s, where Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) will take action.
Tenerife and Fuerteventura have grand landscapes appropiate to the scenes that we could seen on the first movie. In this case, the second part will be on screen on november 2019. The shooting on Canary Islands, however, is expected for summer endings. It will be when the DC Universe will move to the natural scenery of the Islands.
This is not the first time that a film starred by Gal Gadot is shooted in Tenerife. In 2012, the team of Fast & Furious 6 was on the island filmed some scenes in Garachico, Teno, and the Insular Ring, at Guía de Isora.
